Ingredients:
- 8 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
- 2 medium-sized tomatoes, sliced
- 1 medium-sized cucumber, sliced
- 1 medium-sized onion, sliced
- 1 medium-sized bell pepper (capsicum), sliced
- 1 small carrot, grated
- 1/2 cup boiled corn kernels
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard sauce
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- Salt, to taste
- Butter or margarine, for toasting the bread slices
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and mustard sauce together to make a spread.
- Take a bread slice and spread the mayonnaise-mustard sauce on it.
- Place some tomato slices, cucumber slices, onion slices, bell pepper slices, grated carrot, boiled corn kernels, and grated cheese on the bread slice.
- Sprinkle some black pepper powder and salt over the vegetables.
- Cover the sandwich with another bread slice and spread some more mayonnaise-mustard sauce on it.
- Repeat the above steps to make more sandwiches.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Spread some butter or margarine on one side of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches on the pan, with the buttered side facing down.
- Toast the sandwiches until the bread turns golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the sandwiches over and toast the other side.
- Once both sides are toasted, remove the sandwiches from the pan.
- Cut the sandwiches in half or into quarters.
- Serve the Veg Sandwich hot with ketchup or chutney.
